Amina Goodwin MD is a practicing physician and health coach who helps people achieve ultimate health and vitality by making simple lifestyle changes. She is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and has a passion for empowering her patients through knowledge. She graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2001 and practiced medicine in the Caribbean for several years before moving to New York City to pursue post graduate training in Internal Medicine. With a long standing interest in public health, Dr Amina was drawn to the field of Infectious Diseases and completed a fellowship in this specialty at University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in 2011. Dr Amina returned to her home country of Antigua and Barbuda where she became the country’s HIV/AIDS clinical care coordinator. She moved back to the U.S. in 2013 and currently practices Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr Amina is also an online health coach empowering people all over the world to take their health into their own hands by making better food and eating choices. She lives in East Mississippi with her husband Jerry, and son Aaron. Together, they enjoy traveling and discovering quaint cafes and restaurants.
